Death by repetition of routine and loss of interest.
The initial dating awkwardness, which never truly ended conversation wise, was cute but eventually led to the demise of the relationship. The young relationship handsomely braved a month of winter break. Back from break, P kissed K for the first time. A week after, he ignored her for four days. Then, after randomly running into each other in a campus eatery, P said they needed to talk. K had to initiate the break-up conversation and choose the place for the break-up. Way to break up like a champ, P.
It was Saturday night at one of the first lame-o parties of college freshman year when they first met. K immediately noticed P across the room when she first walked in. P was standing alone. In a concerted effort to overcome new-to-college nerves, K strode up to him and started a less than five minute conversation. After P got pulled over to talk to someone else, K left. After running into him several times and eating breakfast together at 7:30am one day, the juvenile facebook flirting commenced. It goes to mention that P forgot K's name several times during this process.
P will be remembered for saying "Truly", an Avril Lavigne solo, and having an incriminating bookshelf. P will be missed for his warm arms, funny laugh, white t-shirts, rolled up plaid shirts, smile, eager to please attitude, caring nature, and his amusement for K's puns.
K will be happy to forget the self-doubt she experienced within the relationship. She never felt she could fully express her feelings and insecurities with P. If only K opened up more and let the relationship reflect more of her own excitement and enthusiasm for life. Only too late did she realize affection was
time-sensitive.
Also, K was extremely disappointed yet amused by the scared shitless look on P's roommate's face when she knocked on his door a week after the break up.
All survived, because what doesn't kill you makes you stronger!
Famous Last Words:
P: We can still hang out if you want. K: Probably Not.
