S and Y's relationship died a short but painful death as a result of Y's mental illness(es), drinking problem and the strain of them being married to different people.
    S and Y were very unhappy in their respective marriages. S's wife dragged his self-esteem through the dirt. S and Y sought romantic refuge with each other, but they eventually got caught (as people often do). S's wife wanted to work it out with him because (surprise!) she still loved S the whole time that he felt their marriage was crumbling (S didn't think she cared for him at all). Y wanted S to leave his wife and be with her, but S wanted to give his marriage one last try. Y "attempted" suicide, wound up in a mental ward, and is now going through a divorce. S and his wife are working on their marriage. Precise whereabouts of Y are unknown to S, as she was booted from her home as a result of a court order.
    S and Y were introduced to each other by none other than (gasp!) S's wife in the latter quarter of 2004. It was not love at first sight for S, but Y claimed to be secretly attracted to him from the start.
    Y will be remembered for the feelings of intense love that the relationship generated. The thoughts of S and Y kissing tenderly under night skies, arms around each other in soft embrace, are not likely to be forgotten soon (but S hopes that one day he will stop thinking about it).
    S will miss looking into Y's eyes and seeing her smile, as they held each other, and feeling as if the Universe itself brought them together.
    However, S will not miss Y's drinking problem and her threat that if S didn't choose Y over his wife, she would tell his wife "everything." And, of course, Y's lies and idiotic statements such as, "I'm fucking gorgeous," when tactlessly comparing her looks to S's wife's.
    S plans to ignore Y should they see each other again. It will take much effort, but he is ready.
    S is disappointed that he chose to have an affair rather than address his marital problems more directly. Although his wife treated him badly, S now sees the folly of having an affair. It was a desperate action made during a desperate situation.
    S and Y's relationship is survived by S, his wife and their beautiful children. Also, Y's soon-to-be ex-husband and their lovely children. S feels much remorse for all concerned.
    Y's best-known communication to S, post-breakup, was sent via text message on Thanksgiving evening. It read: "Revenge Starts Now." However, after a call to the local police department, Y finally got the message that S and her were no longer one.
