Should've seen the signs...
Stubborn & Ambitious and Lazy & Narcissistic
27Apr2003 thru 30Jul2008

Lies, mis-trust, deceit, and disappointment
They met on a sultry spring eve and danced together until dawn. She didn't expect him to call, but he did, and it changed her life - not for the better & not for the worst. In the beginning there was passion, trust, romance, endless nights of talking and making plans for the future. She should have known better when he proposed during a commercial break... The wedding was beautiful - small and intimate, surrounded by family. After the wedding the problems became more and more apparent. She had left her job and changed cities to be with him - he got fired for punching a guy in head- and rent was due, bills were stacking up and life was suddenly not so perfect anymore. She found a great job while he continued to sit on his butt and do nothing for many months until she got fed up and made him get a job. She worked 65 hours a week to his 30 for almost 2 years, so he could stay home and play video games. She worked full-time and then some to pay off his repo'd truck, all his pre-marriage debt and still tried to love him despite it all. He started lying about everything - money, people, places, etc.- and she began to lose her faith that the marriage would last forever. She left him once because she caught him in a lie, but he said all the right things to make her come back. Over time she realized that she wanted children, a home, vacations - things she would never achieve if she stayed with him, so she packed her things and filed for divorce.
They met a nightclub in Seattle. He saw her and she saw him and it was lust at first sight.
He will be remembered for his blatant lies, impulsiveness, selfishness, complete lack of work ethic, and seriously flawed sense of logic.
At first the loss of companionship was painfully hard to bear, but that feeling is long gone, replaced by confidence and perseverance.
She will not miss the frustration, heartache, and self-doubt that he brought into her life.
If she never sees or hears from him again, she will be a much more pleasant and contented person.
Everything that embodies him was a disappointment. There was no point in getting her hopes up after the first year of marriage. In this relationship, hope always lead to disappointment.
No children were born of this relationship, and the couple's dog has made it clear that he wishes to remain in the care of his mother.
Famous last words: I want kids, just not with you (her to him).
